Week 7 The Nativity

Week 7

I was able to start refining the details on baby Jesus and began working on Mary's face and hair. I had a few surprise guest show up to come see the painting in person. Such a treat.

Week 6 Details

The detail process is slow going but it adds a lot of depth and brings the figures to life. I spent most of Wednesday evening working on Joseph's face and refining details in his hair. Sunday I worked on his clothing and started building up layers to make his shirt drape correctly.
